Hey girl! I’m so happy you are here! I’m an Indianapolis based corrective exercise specialist, personal trainer, nutrition coach, group fitness instructor and doughnut lover.

I’m passionate about educating, empowering and equipping women with the tools they need to ditch the diets and love their bodies, while still seeing the results they desire. 

Also, doughnuts and unicorns.

My goal is to help as many women as possible own the skin they are in, move well in everyday life and realize that taking time for themselves on a daily basis is a crucial part of living their best life.

I work with women who are ready to ditch the diets, perfection and obsession, in favor of finding a version of wellness that fits their life. Women that are ready to finally make themselves a priority by getting back into the gym and taking care of their body, so they can move better in everyday life!

You are guaranteed to find me talking about corrective exercise and why the basics are so cool, intuitive eating and body love and how to talk back to that negative voice between your ears.

If you are wondering how I got here, get ready for the short version:

I wasn’t really athletic or into sports growing up. I started running my senior year in college to spend more time with people in my internship program. I enjoyed it, so I kept running and eventually got into HIIT workouts. During this time, I was dealing with some pretty severe gut issues (think every test imaginable, debilitating pain and medication every 4 hours that did nothing.). 

I finally visited a holistic practitioner that suggested I change up the foods I was eating. Six months later, I finished my first elimination diet and my gut was on the up and up. Fast forward a year and a half that included 3 candida (yeast overgrowth) detoxes, 2 bouts of adrenal fatigue and a constant obsession with exercise and food, I realized there HAD to be another way. 

I found Intuitive Eating, worked on my relationship with exercise and my body and most importantly, I worked on changing the conversation going on between my ears. You know, that voice that talks shit more often than not. I worked through fear foods and learning how to rest.

Fast forward a little more and here I am, working to empower women to change the negative relationship with food, exercise and their body.

Most days you can find me coaching clients, teaching group fitness classes, walking with my pup Oscar while listening to a podcast, watching Harry Potter with my husband (he’s obsessed and it’s on every night, literally), getting attacked by my kitten Titan, sipping coffee and working on my laptop at my local coffee shop – in athlesiure wear – of course or laughing to How I Met Your Mother, Parks n’ Rec, New Girl, Brooklyn 99 or FRIENDS (I don’t know if I can pick a fav. I love them all!)!

Let’s get to the fun things: 

  • I love 80’s music, 90’s hip hop and folk-sie pop. I get my eclectic taste in music from my dad.

  • high-waisted 7/8 leggings are my absolute favorite leggings ever. #highwaistedforlife

  • I’m the oldest of 5. My youngest sibling is 16 years younger than me! I’m also biracial - my dad is black and my mom is white.

  • I’m a Type A, INFJ, 3w2 on the Ennegram, an Obliger, and proud Introvert.

  • Sushi & coffee all day, any day.

  • I not-so-secretly wish i was an amazing hip hop dancer. Any other Step-up fans out there?

  • I am the girl behind the Burpees for Breakfast blog! I started it back in 2013 as a way to share recipes and workouts. While I’ve moved in a bit of a different direction, the blog is still available for workouts, recipes and more!
